Due to the current state of the rap game, there is alot of controversy over what it takes to be a good artist these days and sell records. "Hip Hop is Dead" is a subject that has sparked numerous conversations and debates over the past 4 years and after careful thought and numerous hours of jammin different artists here is my list of the top 5 artists and influences on music:
1. 2 Pac
2. Chamillionaire
3. Eminem
4. Jadakiss
5. Joe Budden
Now while this list may easily be put up for discussion and argument, I truly believe that all 5 of them experienced the amount of success that they have achieved do the simple fact that they have a way of easily making you feel their songs whether it be a club track, a story or just killing the song lyrically. These artists have some of the dopest rhymes to me and with that said, you will definitely hear their influences as I begin to release more and more music under the Rapper Genocide movement.
